Obituary for Daryl Keanu Stant

DARYL KEANU STANT

With great sadness we announce our loved son, husband, father, braddah, uso, brother-in-law, son in law, cousin and friend.

Daryl Keanu Stant left this world unexpectedly, at 6.05 pm, on Friday April 8, 2022 at the age of 49. Born at Kaiser hospital Honolulu, Hawaii on February. 20, 1973, weighing in at a whopping 11 lbs. 7 ounces to David “Kawika” SR and Rena Stant, Daryl grew up in La’ie, on the east side of O’ahu where he attended La’ie Elementary School and Kahuku High School before attending University of Hawaii in 1992.

Daryl was a prankster, outgoing, loving, devoted husband and father that treasured his boys embracing every moment with them because they were his world. He was fiercely loyal to his friends and family.

Daryl followed his father’s footsteps and became a Water Man. Being the youngest member of Da Hui O He’e Nalu Surf club when it was formed at the age of five (5), he became the center of attention. As a waterman, he worked with Terry Ahue’s water safety rescue team while enjoying surfing and working with Ernie Tanaka as a Long board shaper for Blue Hawaii.

Daryl also worked in various jobs throughout his young life with the movies, pearl harbor, construction with various construction companies, La’ie Elementary School, Alu Like, MMA fighter and coaching.

When you think of Daryl, celebrate the good memories you have of him. He would want us to remember that life is fragile, short and should be lived to the fullest. His presence in our lives will be sorely missed.
