Obituary for Kiyoko Minami Orris

Kiyoko Minami Orris, 90, of Wahiawa, Hawaii, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 15, 2022.

She was born in Kagoshima, Japan, and moved to the United States following her marriage to John Michael Orris, and had three beautiful children. John, a 28 year US Army veteran, was stationed in several states, as well as overseas in Germany, they also traveled to Spain, France, and Italy. They later settled in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Kiyoko worked as a seamstress for Hilton Hotel, and retired there after 20 years. Kiyoko is remembered for her generous heart, impeccable taste, and quirky sense of humor.

Kiyoko is predeceased by her husband John. She is survived by her daughters; Suzette and Angela, her son; Kevin (Valerie,) grandchildren; Keli’i, Glenn, Shantelle, Sienna, Andrea (Phillip,) Helena (John,) Milo, Carla (Chad,) Christina (Nick,) Cara, and Mikey, great grandchildren; Kristen, Aleka, Kainoa, Seaenna, Saylee, and Salem.

Private services will be held, and she will be interred at the National Memorial Cemetery at Punchbowl with her husband, SGM John Michael Orris.
