Kristen Esther Bridges Muñoz, 56, of Waipahu, Hawaii passed away on August 5, 2021, on her 16th wedding anniversary. She was born at Community Memorial Hospital, Ventura, California on May 5, 1965 at 3:13 am to Jean Dale Knudson and Terry Lawrence Bridges. She graduated from Inglewood Senior High School, Washington in 1983 and moved to the Big Island of Hawaii in 1984, where she lived on a boat and worked as a waitress. She moved to Maui to work at the Ritz Carlton in Kapalua. She moved to Oahu in 1997 where she met her future husband Daniel Munoz and attended the University of Hawaii Manoa. While attending, she gave birth to their son in 2001. Even while raising a son, going to school and getting married, working as a waitress at an Italian restaurant, she made the Deans list in the fall of 2005 while working to achieve her Bachelor of Science degree for family resources. In August 2005 she married her son's Father. After receiving her diploma in December 2005 she worked as a case manager and family advocate for Community Empowerment Resources, Catholic Charities and HCAP Headstart. She was also an avid road-bike rider. She belonged to the Red Hot Ladies riding group and a member of the Honolulu Bicycle League. She loved hiking,reading books, beaches, and supporting her family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was her son and there was nothing she would not sacrifice for him. Like supporting him in BMX racing and she loved watching him. She also loved animals.

Kristen is survived by her Husband, Daniel Muñoz, Son, Daniel Kekoa Muñoz, Father, Terry Lawrence Bridges, Mother, Sara Bridges (Montana), Dad & Mentor, Henry Arguelles (California ), Sister, Rebecca Arguelles Prime (California).and many adopted Arguelles Family (California),

And then the California, Oregon, Washington & New Jersey extended family, Aunts, Deb Nondorf (Washington), Sheri Cooper (Oregon), Uncles Mike Bridges (Washington), Tom Bridges (Washington), Cousins, Vicky Maxon Moody ( California) Jennifer Maxon (California), Diane Maxon ( New Jersey) Chris Knudson (Uncle, California) Jerry Knudson uncle Jeremiah Knudson (cousin, California) and many other cousins.

Mother-in-laws, Nelly CE Muñoz (Hawaii) and Robin Galvez (California), brother-in-law‘s, Ronald Munoz(Hawaii) and Jason Galvez ( Pennsylvania), Sister-in-laws Sheri Ann Muñoz (Hawaii) and Kathleen Muñoz (Hawaii), Daughter-in-law‘s Kristy Lyn Muller (Hawaii) and Noelani Barros (Washington), Son-in-law‘s Aaron Muller (Hawaii) and Liberty Luke Barros (Washington), eight grandchildren (Hawaii/Washington), Niece Celine Muñoz (Oregon), Nephew, Cord Munoz (Hawaii) and numerous cousins in laws all over the country. Kolohe Munoz a Miniature poodle which was saved and two cats Mike Muñoz & Que Munoz both also saved by Kristen.

She was predeceased by her Mother Jean Dale Bridges (Arguelles) and her Australian Shepard/blue heeler Abby Muñoz.
