Obituary for Lilian Margaret Makaiau
Lilian Margaret Makaiau 72, of Hau’ula, passed away peacefully at her home in Hau’ula, Hawaii on Thursday April 28, 2022.
She was born in Wanganui, New Zealand to Tom and Isabella Stokoe and raised in Fasito’o Uta, Island of Upolu, Samoa.
At the age of 13, the family moved to Laie, HI (Church College of Hawaii). She graduated from Kahuku High School and earned her Bachelors of Arts-International Cultural Studies - Communication & Culture degree.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Darol Makaiau; sons: Sean (Sandi), Kaimana (Kele), Shane, Ka’i (Mele); 7 grandchildren and her brothers Tom Stokoe and Leo Stokoe.
Visitation 9:00 am Friday May 13, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Hauula Makai Chapel, Services 11:00 am, Burial 1:00 pm at Laie Cemetery. Flowers welcome.
