Obituary for Margaret Davidson

Margaret Davidson, 95, of Kapolei, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2021 in Tyler, Texas.

Margaret is survived by her 3 sons, Don and wife Betty Ann Davidson of Tyler, Texas, Dan and wife Alisa Davidson of Searcy, Arkansas, and Doug Davidson of Tyler, Texas. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Kenneth Davidson, and siblings Niels Nielsen, John Nielsen, and Trink Smith.

Margaret graduated from Long Beach Polytechnic High School 1942 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University in 1946 and a Master of Arts degree from Claremont Graduate School.

On June 18, 1949, Margaret married the love of her life, S. Kenneth Davidson. Together, they were a wonderful example of steadfast love and commitment to God, marriage, and family. Their motto was "Make every occasion a great occasion", and they spared no effort or expense in getting the family together as often as possible. Together they made everyone around them feel special, valuable, and loved.

Margaret loved good conversation and friendly debate. Always inquiring, analyzing, and wanting to know the why and how of everything, she inspired her children and grandchildren to do the same.

Above all, Margaret considered herself a servant. She demonstrated that by looking for every opportunity to encourage others with a meal, a card, a call, a text or a prayer. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Burial services will be held October 1 Ith at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe, Hawaii where she will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Kenneth.
