Sonia Lana Russi, 75, of Lanai City, passed away on June 11, 2021 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was born in Hawaii on September 6, 1945.

In Sonia's early years of life Sonia was a stay-at-home mom, providing care for her four children. She held several careers over the years to provide for her family, employer's - Dole Cannery, Violet's Grill, Robert's Hawaii Bus, Lanai Resorts - Laundry and United Laundry.

A hobby of volunteering at her church King's Chapel Lanaʻi, Sonia helped with the food pantry, community service and servants of the house.

She is survived by her husband: Julio C. Russi; son: Julio C. Russi Jr.; daughters: Maria Duvauchelle (Ikaika) and Bonita Sandi (Fred "Baba"); brother: Ricky Daong; sisters: Marissa Samonte, Scarlet Aponte and Nancy Feato; grandchildren: Justin Araki, Isiah Olsen-Russi (Jelena), Thessalonica Sandi, Luke John Sandi, Abigail Sandi, Judah Duvauchelle, Lilo Russi, Michael "Mikey" Duvauchelle, Jedidiah Sandi and Luna Russi; great-grandchildren: Sage Olsen-Russi, Silas Olsen-Russi and Sadie Olsen-Russi.

She is preceded in death by her son: Michael Chilson and sister: Sheila Daong

A Celebration of Life on Lanai will be held at King's Chapel Lānaʻi on Saturday, July 3rd at 9:30am.
