Obituary for Valerie Kamaile Kaliko'okamaile Nihipali
Valerie Kaliko’okamaile Nihipali 58, of Laie passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Laie, Hawaii on Saturday May 7, 2022.
She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to David and Verdetta Kekuaokalani on April 16th, 1964, raised in Laie, on the east side of Oahu where she attended Laie Elementary, graduated from Kahuku High School with the Class of ’82. She later received her Bachelors from Brigham Young University – Hawaii.
Her loving husband, Duke Nihipali, preceded her in passing.
She is survived by her daughters, Victoria “Moani” Nihipali, Karen Lavaki, and Kapua Nihipali; sons, Tyrell Nihipali, and Thomas “Kaluna” Nihipali; grandchild, Victoria Lavaki; brothers, Samuel Kekuaokalani, David Kekuaokalani Jr.; sisters Kawailani Tupou, and Jelaire Fitzgerald.
Visitation 8:30am Thursday May 26th, 2022 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Laie, Hawaii North Stake Center (Front Chapel) 55-630 Naniloa Loop, Laie, HI 96762, Services 10:00am, Burial to follow at Laie Cemetery. The Luncheon will be held back at the Chapel Cultural Hall. Flowers Welcome.
